For thousands of years Polynesians would navigate thousands of miles between tiny islands in the Pacific. To do this they did not use modern navigation methods but navigated by the stars and the sun.

They would also produce charts detailing the location of islands and the direction of wind and waves.

And I found one in Lewisham!!!
